Description: Gibson developed the L-00 back in the 1930s. Blues musicians such as Charlie Patton, Son House, Skip James and Robert Johnson preferred instruments like the L-1 and L-00 because of their small body shape. The fast response and the mid-tone sound of these guitars were perfect for their picking style. Gibson traditionally builds the L-00 standard with mahogany body and neck, sitka spruce for the top and rosewood for the fingerboard. The LR Baggs VTC system is the perfect pickup to adequately amplify this sound. Other typical features of this iconic instrument include the vintage sunburst finish and subtly V-shaped neck profile. Not to be seen at first glance, but an important part of the effort to resurrect the authentic sound is the use of hide glue. No other manufacturer has as much experience as Gibson in the use of this material, which guarantees optimal vibration transmission. Also traditional is the "stripped-down" vintage look without much embellishment. This 2019 variant is equipped with the popular LR Baggs VTC system. This pickup is also preferably installed in the Guitar-Place workshop.
