Description: Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1969-1970 Electric Guitars Description Condition: Used Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Vintage Manufactured late 1969-1970. I acquired this guitar in 1975, which was quite well-used at that time. The shop explained that it was purchased from an American professional on tour. Since then, it has been my beloved instrument that I have treasured for 49 years. (The last time I played it live was in 1976, and since then I have only played it at home.) I refinished the head and body back with lacquer. At that time, the silk screen that said "LESPAUL MODEL" on the head has almost disappeared. The body sides and neck are only lightly over-lacquered. The gold top made of brass powder, which Gibson has now abandoned due to environmental issues, remains as it was 54 years ago. The neck joint is carefully crafted, and the black rosewood fingerboard is unique to this era. Parts have been replaced. A while after I acquired it, I replaced the pegs with used Grover (now a vintage part). The pods have been replaced with Japanese-made parts several times, and the knobs have also been replaced with Japanese-made millimeter-sized parts. (The original parts were discarded when they were replaced.) The volume knob on the front is a little rough, but I have not replaced it because I would like the buyer to replace it with something they like. The tail piece, whose plating had peeled off, has been replaced with a fixer type, but the original is also included. The jack plate has deteriorated and discolored, so it has been replaced with the same type. The sponge under the pickup has also deteriorated, so it has been replaced with a suitable sponge. Mahogany pancake body, three-piece maple top, mahogany three-piece neck with volute, ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, machined pickguard. Gibsons from this period were in a period of confusion regarding serial numbers (this one is number 972008) and specifications, making it difficult to determine the year of manufacture, but I determine that it was made in late 1969 to 1970. On December 22, 1969, Gibson's parent company, Chicago Musical Instruments, was acquired by ECL, a South American brewing conglomerate, and Gibson became a subsidiary of Norlin Musical Instruments in 1974, and the product quality steadily declined. The weight is 4.5 kg measured by a weight scale. It is the standard weight of an early Les Paul Deluxe. Payment Please pay within 5 days after the auction closed.
