Description: Recently bought this and barely changed the strings when I had one of those fantastic unexpected trips to the emergency room w/ a 3 day hospital stay and am currently expecting a huge medical bill that this probably won't make a dent in. At any rate, I can't say much about it beyond the visible that I tried to capture in the pics but please let me know if there's any questions before bidding. I added the clear covers/pickguard as the back toggle cover was missing when I got it and that kind of thing bugs me. These were basically brand new parts that have been in a drawer for years, and I think they look great on this. The finish was probably fantastic when new, but it has been chipped and scuffed with years of buffing from the previous owners forearm along the top, and plenty of fingernail scratches around the knobs. The back has the obligatory buckle rash etc. Amazingly, the frets are totally shiny and show no dents or dings at all. There is one small 'scuff' on the fretboard that I couldn't get to photograph, but it doesn't effect play and you can't feel it under the strings. The spots on the back of the neck and under the pickguard are still fairly lustrous and give you an idea of how cool this finish was when new. I don't know why Gibson doesn't do that type of thing more often, I think it looks pretty cool. Some of the finish damage can probably be buffed out with the proper skills, but that's not my thing so who knows. The serial # and 'Made in USA' stamp is visible but near impossible for me to photo considering the finish and my crappy camera. The pickups sound excellent. It will be properly packaged and insured for shipping. As always, ask questions before bidding, I'm always happy to take more photos if there's anything specific you want to see. My photography skills really suck and my camera isn't much better, but I'll do what I can. I've explained all details as best as I can, and the photos should provide the rest. That said, this is an 'as-is' auction. At minimum, expect to need to setup the instrument to your personal preferences after shipping. This is a used guitar, and I am not a luthier. There may be issues with this instrument that I do not have the skill to identify or even be aware of. Expect to need to do at least a 'personal preference' setup when it arrives, as usual with any shipped used guitar. Each of my listings is described to the best of my ability, and if you have any questions that I did not address in the listing or photos, please ask before bidding. Thanks! All reasonable offers considered.I generally ship the next business day after receiving payment, but there will be exceptions. This is listed locally and in other places online, so this listing will be closed if it sells elsewhere.
