The plush elephant, Alvin, is highly detailed rubber head, with extremely detail oriented clothing but marketed as safe for small children. Very soft. The book is a board book, also safe for small children, which is a very sweet book in excellent condition. All is freshly cleaned with no stains, tears, holes or rips noted. Excellent condition. I do not believe these can be bought inside stores off the shelf. I think they have to be purchased offline or with a specialty retailer based on very limited research. This set does not include the companion set made for Meiya the Mouse. Meiya the Mouse is also featured in the book and there are separate sets that feature Meiya as the special plush.
