Based on Aristotles, Nicomachean Ethics, and building on St. Thomas Aquinas', Summa Theologiae, this work has come in and our of fashion for centuries. The concept of Prudence espoused in this work is heavily influenced by 15th century Italy and Pontano's deep believe in loving ones family, especially spouse and children. Bound in early 19th century full vellum with gilt lettering inside label on spine and with inked date, mostly worn, on bottom of spine. Some markings and discoloration to covers with rubbing at edges. Edges are stained blue. There is a book mark ribbon present and attached. Old ink note on first page. Some light foxing and discoloration, mostly limited to margins. Some minor worm holes on leafs 122-124 (see picture, leaf 123 is the most impacted and even that very minimally (leafs 122-124 are pages 244-248)).
