Description: Givtone Teisco MIJ Electric Guitar 1960's Japan Gold foil PUs This RARE Givtone is a Teisco made guitar with some history we found.3 Legendary gold foil pickups on board. The Teisco company was located in Tokyo but the woodworking factory was located outside of Matsumoto. Every once in a while, there is a guitar that "looks" like a Teisco and has the same body, but is slightly different in a few ways. That's because the owner of the woodworking factory sometimes exported guitars to the USA without the blessing of Teisco in Tokyo. These models were very rare but here is one of them, and in excellent condition!Original case is in beatup condition and has some tape on it but the guitar fits and it is original and works fine. The body and neck are classic Teisco MIJ style. In fact, these gold foil pickups are great sounding. They really have a unique tone. Electronics all work fine and the Trem bar works awesome. Neck is pretty straight with medium action. If you want super low action you may have to shim the neck for the right angle. Currently Ready to play. The back has two “stash holes” shown in pics that seem to be original as they were professionally cut probably for a different model. There is a non original nut and a zero fret. The nut is the right height so we left it as is.
