It has ruffled trumpet-shaped flowers, is a relative of the African violet and belongs to the same family. Gloxinia plant was first discovered in Brazil, in 1785. Although flower blooms have short lives indoors we were lucky and saw vibrant purple blooms coming back for several years. It was a very special display, we were happy to capture this truly remarkable flower.
