Most of my squarebody chevys are victims of the midwest salt; the bodys rusted away and the drivetrains are still in good working order. This is a usable transmission that can be used as a replacement. Since they rarely go bad, the more popular use is for Jeep swaps. I have this setup with a Dana 300 transfer case in one of my Jeeps, and it is a bulletproof setup that can handle massive horsepower and big tires. The factory bellhousing will bolt up to any GM V8 smallblock, bigblock or 4.3 engine including the LS series (4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 8.1 This listing is for a transmission ONLY.
