Description: This is "Faust" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, in a limited edition (#302 of 1000) published in 1924 Im Askanischen Verlag (Carl Albert Kindle). This edition features a 221-page introduction by Max von Boehn, with printed and tipped-in illustrations on nearly every page. Text is in German. The play itself is printed in two colors, black and red. This book is bound in full vellum with raised spine bands and embossed decorations on both front and back covers. Condition is Very Good Plus, showing a pinhole puncture near the head of the spine (see photos) and slight dishing to the front board.
