Description: For Sale: Half dozen (6) gotchas all tied on size # 2 Mustad 34007 stainless steel hooks... 2 hot butt cream/blond craft fur sili leg gotchas, 2 hot butt/hot nose bunny gotchas in natural/buff, 2 bonefish shrimp scampi in natural/buff with pink craft fur over wing... These are quality hand tied flies that I tie myself, one area to look at closely regarding fly quality is the fly head, well tied flies have a smooth tapered head, and are well proportioned... I have taken close up pics of the flies I tie and , one can even use the zoom to inspect them closer, I suggest you use that function ,on any fly purchase you make... I have over 35 years of tying experience, as well as fishing experience as a retired sight fishing flats guide... There are pros and cons re: stainless steel hooks. All I will say is that in a saltwater environment, stainless will not rust, plated hooks will eventually, ruining your flies... I throw jigs also ,and even though I use quality Mustad hooks on those jigs, they are plated, because I have never found a stainless steel jig hook, and eventually they rust,(pit) even when rinsed after every use with fresh water...Saltwater is a harsh environment! Bottom line I have used Mustad 34007 stainless, (not Mustad 3407 plated, much cheaper) to tie thousands of flies, and the hook has never let me down, it is not an inexpensive hook, but a quality premium fly hook, there are many stainless steel hooks that are less expensive...
