Liberty Philatelic (ubystamps)THIS LOT CONTAINS THE COMPLETE 1964 "PHOSPHOR" ISSUE OF THE BOTANICAL SET FROM GREAT BRITAIN, SCOTT #414p-417p, IN FINE-VERY FINE MINT, NEVER HINGED CONDITION. It wes during the early 1960s that stamps from Great Britain began to get printed on phosphorescent paper as a means of speeding the handling and delivery of mail. For the first few years of transition to "phosphor" paper, both regular and phosphor paper was in use, and the early "phosphor" issues command a substantial price premium due to their scarcity. They are fresh and bright, have full original gum, the 3p value has a light hinge mark, others are mint, never hinged, and, are in fine-very fine condition. The 2015 Scott catalog value is $24.90.
