It has 5 glass shelves and a lighted interior. It is quite dusty and needs a good cleaning. It is made of solid wood, but I am unsure of the type of wood, and has a nice, cherry wood finish. I am unsure of its actual origins, but it has a manufacture date of 1986 on the back, and I think it was made by Thomasville. It is self leveling. It is 77.5" tall, 10.5" front to back, and 35.5" from side to side. It is a very nice curio, and a wonderful piece of decorative furniture.
