A gift from Republic of Korea 1st Infantry division general cigarette box engraved to colonel COOPER. Included is the picture of Colonel Cooper, silver cigarette box engraved to LTC COOPER. ROK presentation box Patches & small ROC unit pins see pictures. His name tag as seen in the photo as well as the photo. Colonel Cooper MD was a flight surgeon in KMAG, MAAG Laos & Taiwan, 1st, 7th & 5th Groups. Prior to joining the Army, he served as a Navy officer on LSTs during WWII & attended medical school after the war returning to the Navy as a Flight Surgeon. At some point around 1955 he switched to the army & joined Special Forces. He went to Laos in 1962 Operation WhiteStar, Vietnam 1963-1964 Mike Force, South Korea, Japan & Taiwan. His French army amputation kit & additional photos are listed in another of my auctions. The name tag needs help. It’s hand painted but the metal under is oxidizing & causing paint to bubble. 100% original or as described guarantee or money back.
