There is a long tradition of using Christmas Labels in Scandinavia, and the tradition was brought to Greenland and the Faroe Islands (Færøyene) by the Danish (Post). Christmas labels have no franking value, but were sold as a fundraiser for a charitable purpose and used in addition to stamps on Christmas cards and envelopes.
