This was found in a local estate matted together with a picture of his father the great British actor Henry Irving. He was the first actor ever to be knighted. Research shows that the father's and son's signatures are significantly different. This signature appears to be of the son Henry Brodribb Irving. The date appears to be 1906. Father died in 1905. Son toured the US in 1906. Someone may have thought this was father's signature and matted them together. We are selling as is. Mat size is 18” x 20 3/4”. Engraving is dated 1886.
