Description: They hand carve these mexican scoops over there out of whatever wood they have available at the time. So NO two are ever exactly alike and they're all very primitive. When I find them they are very dry and VERY dirty (i.e....NOT "perfect"). I go through and pick out the ones with the most character. You will see slight splits, carving marks, even knife marks to the wood. I clean each one up as best as possible and then I wax them with our personal bees wax formula...........allow it to dry and then buff it out. THEN I drill a hole through the handle which you can use to hang it if you ever want to! They have all of the wonderful carving marks in the wood which I find just precious. This one measures 11 5/8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and it is 2 inches thick. The scoop you SEE is the EXACT one you will RECEIVE.
