They created the round frame first and wired over the edges and down the back side, too - - to me, that just shrunk the size of my bracelet. So...I grabbed a couple almost matching bangle bracelets from my unending stash...then got the bright idea of using orphan earrings as focals. So--back to my other stash - orphan earrings! I selected three for size and color and wire wrapped each securely between and on top of the two bangles, separating the bangles by the earring length. By spacing them out proportionately and using 20 gauge wire, they made the frame very sturdy. I used a matte goldtone button style Monet, a shiny goldtone lion face, and an enameled oval with swirls of orange, black and cream. Seed beads - ahhh yes, and while I was at it, i put in some golden peachy glass pearls, some orange crackle beads that reverse to green (I left them loose, so they'll spin around a bit and add interest).The seed beads include bronze, orange, goldtone, brown, and mixtures of each. Each seed bead link is wire looped to the frame on either end. This cuff bracelet goes on like a bangle and is now size 7 on my bracelet mandrel. There won't be as much wiggle room as in putting on a slim bangle, as this cuff is one inch wide, so plan accordingly. If your hand is large or doesn't fold well, this may not be the cuff for you. If you wear 6 1/2, I would think this would be perfect. It is 1 1/8 inch wide. NOTE: a lot of bangles are 8 inch so remember, this is smaller. p.s. it is heavy.
