Jerusalem Pottery was founded in 1919 when the British government invited Hagop Karakasjian to renovate the tile on the Dome of the Rock. In 1966 Stepan and Berge Karakasjian were commissioned to restore the street name times in the old city of Jerusalem. Their factory is still in operation today creating stunning hand-painted tiles.
