Description: In good unposted vintage condition. See zoom photos for detail. Mural History: A large 70- by 35-foot mural of old west pioneer settlers featuring a wagon train and Native Americans was displayed in front of the casino. The mural was designed in 1949 by Theodore McFallon and its ceramic glazed hand-painted tiles were made by Sargent Claude Johnson. Above the mural it stated, ‘Dedicated in all humility to those who blazed the trail’. Continuing the western theme, below was advertised a ‘covered wagon room’ and a ‘roaring camp’. The casino closed in 1995 and the building was demolished in 1999. The mural was put on display in 2007 at the Reno Livestock Events Center. Entertainment venues dominated this street. This image is from an old American amateur Kodak color transparency. It will look slightly soft if used at too large a size – a vintage 1950s photograph. Free, next business day shipping. Thanks!
