Description: Here we have a fabulous original oil painting entitled "Vampscape II (Measured Ambiguities)" by Harry Bouras (American, Chicago, IL, 1932-1990.) Bouras was a true Chicagoan, an internationally noted artist, critic and teacher, and host of a popular weekly Chicago radio program on art criticism that ran for 25 years, until his retirement. According to local legend, Bouras inspired the name taken by one group of Chicago Imagists ("The Harry Who") when one of them mentioned having read a review by him, and another replied, "Harry Who?" Assemblages, sculptures and other works by Bouras can be found at MOMA and the Art Institute of Chicago, among others.
