Description: Nice stamp showing a clear 19mm purple cancel. This very rare cancel is of unknown origin and thought to be used in the 1880's. I believe that this is POIP # cross19(8 spoke wheel), and it is estimated that there are less than 30 known examples. It is close to the POIP # cross16+(negative 8 wedge) which is also very scarce. If you compare, those do not quite match this example, and they are all in black.
