Description: The Mai Kai in Ft Lauderdale is my Hawaiian inspiration for this rustic koa style print...koa a Hawaiian wood that was used to create hawaiian cottages and in the case of the Mai Kai...it is an A Frame style tiki extravaganza that was the tiki attraction to many tiki cult followers. Sadly after 75 years the roof collapsed and the rustic iconic Mai Kai is no more. But when it was in its prime you could expect Polynesian Revue Shows...with a South Seas allure that made you feel like you escaped Florida for Waikiki for a spell. This offering is for ONE thick and nubby textured unused washed barkcloth in a texture referred to as "cuddlecloth"...a texture known as one of the heaviest of textures of barkcloth with the most nubby factor. A creamy beige ground with milk and dark chocolates...cocoa...raspberry...rustic red...pink red...eggplant purple...with aqua green blue...fatigue green and white accents. Signed "Saison Prints Guaranteed Vat Prints". Measures 24 inches wide x 23 inches long. Flawless. I take returns...but who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience.
