Description: With its transparent cobalt blue coloration and gorgeous beveled linear rings, this Hazel Atlas tea cup and saucer embodies the proud legacy of what was once one of the largest glass manufacturing firms in the world. Founded in 1902, Hazel Atlas formed in Wheeling, VA after four glass and metal companies merged, quickly establishing a reputation for the beauty and craftsmanship of their mold-etched, machine made glass patterns, such as seen on this Moderntone ribbed set. Made between 1934 - 1942, the Moderntone line still looks contemporary with its fabulously squared and slightly angled handle. Measuring 5.5" in diameter, the banded saucer is without chip or crack, as is the 2.5" tall by just under 4" in diameter tea cup. ***Hello Shopper With Discerning Taste!*** Thanks so much for checking out BricABracBrigade! As you’re here, you obviously love vintage goodies as much as I (I already know I like you!) and that you appreciate how these treasures have stood the test of time. As such, my items bare wear consistent with age - rarely is something decades old ever pristine (myself included!), however I strive to highlight any flaws or blemishes via descriptions and photos. If anything has been inadvertently overlooked, please contact me! While all sales are final and items sold as is, please reach out with any additional questions or issues before purchasing or upon receipt of your goodies as keeping my customers happy makes me happy.
