Description: He Loves Me by Unger Bros sterling silver dinner fork. Description: Early 20th century in the art nouveau style. The handle features a serene young beauty who plucks the petals off a daisy (with hope reciting " He loves me, he loves me not..." surrounded by a cartouche of daisy flowers and crowned with a larger daisy. Flowing ribbons band the handle with more sculptural daisies to the fork tines. The reverse side features daisies and ribbon bands. Maker: Made by Unger Bros, Newark, New Jersey. Pattern: He Loves Me pattern, patent circa 1904 Marks: Entwined letters ''U" and "B" surrounded by 925 Fine and Sterling in a circle; Copyright 1904. Measurements: One (1) dinner fork. The fork measures 7" inches long and 7/8 inch wide at the widest part of the fork. Weight: 47.20 grams or 1.5 troy ounces. Monogram: In bright cut style the reverse top handle is engraved - 'Roots' (?). Condition: Good estate condition. There is light scratching and wear consistent with the age of the piece(s) and normal use. An exception to the condition is that on the front cartouche with the hopeful girl it appears that there was a repair to the right side of the ribbon band. See pictures.
