Typed text about Santa Fe on the back of the moubt. *William Henry Brown (1844-1886) was American photographer who worked alone and in partnerships in St. Louis, MO, Santa Fe, NM, Chihuahua, Mexico and El Paso, TX during the 1860s -1880s. In 1880 he partnered with G.C. Bennett, and formed Bennett & Brown (active 1880s). Bennett and Brown were prolific New Mexico stereoview photographers, producing over 550 views that appeared (for the most part) as part of one of their four series. Eventually, he moved to El Paso, where he died of consumption in 1886. Clean sharp images. Some mount wear. Period pen text under the right image. See scans.
