Description: Measuring about 6-1/4" x 9-1/2", and 335 pages long, this hardback book is "Richard Olney and His Public Service" by Henry James, with documents including unpublished diplomatic correspondence. It is a biography of Richard Olney, who served as Attorney General and Secretary of State under Grover Clevelend. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company, it has matching copyright and publication dates of 1923, with no later editions stated, and is therefore presumed to be the First Edition. It has a bookstore sticker and multiple inscriptions on the front free end paper, including a presentation dated 1926. It is otherwise in generally excellent and readable condition, with typical light surface rubbing and edge wear, especially at the corners and the spine. The author is not the famous novelist Henry James, by the way, but I believe the two were related.
