Description: 'ANGLEPOISE' 1227 LAMP - REFURBISHED Manufactured by Herbert Terry Ltd of Redditch, Worcestershire, this is a beautiful refurbished desk lamp in lovely condition (red ones are quite rare). Completely rewired with the correct three-core wire and earthed inside bulb socket (new). I believe it dates from the 1950's or 60's - later versions (type 90) had a round base, as opposed to the square type on this earlier example. The type 90 also had the on/off switch located separate from the bulb holder. New green baize fitted to base. Please bear in mind that this lamp is now 60/70 years old and it may have minor marks commensurate with usage.
