This beautiful custom made huge Herend Rothschild Bird Tureen is being offered for the first time since purchased in the mid 1970’s. The hand painted tureen features eight of the twelve Rothschild Bird configurations in eight cartouches. The legs and handles are designed to look like wheat shafts? There are cascades of molded leaves all hand painted between the cartouches on the lid.. The finial is designed to look like a cauliflower I believe. This huge ten quart tureen measures approximately 14” tall by 17” wide and 10” deep. This tureen has never held food and has only been used as a centerpiece on the dining table or sideboard (occasionally with a flower arrangement. I have owned this masterpiece for thirty years and have just now decided to offer it for sale. Measures approximately 14” tall by 17” wide and 10” deep. The tureen weighs 14 pounds and with wrapping and being double boxed for shipping will probably weigh close to 20 pounds.
