His memoir, Nanga Parbat Pilgrimage, contains details of his Alpine climbs, with only the final fifty pages devoted to his Nanga Parbat achievement. The book is signed by Fritz Wintersteller, who was with Buhl on his later expedition to Broad Peak, and also signed the Pakistani liaison officer on that expedition, Qader Saeed.
