Description: Works!! This is an early model HP 48 SX. It has the raised letters in the HP Hewlett-Packard logo on it and was made in USA, which I believe quickly ended as they moved to Asia for production. calculator still functional after all these years. All the buttons work except you have to use the common bezel push trick for the on and both second and third AKA blue end orange function buttons plus the alpha. Those 4 are the buttons directly above the on button. The bezel push trick is to push on the bezel above the b button below the screen when you push certain buttons on the calculator, that helps the circuit be completed between the two halves on the interior of the calculator. All the other buttons work when pushed. Part of the nuance of using 35-year-old technology. If you have any questions about what this might involve please feel free to ask me! Please understand this condition as stated in the listing. I am selling this item as priced because of the flaws and to help someone with a lower entry level price to accept these compromises compared to an item without these flaws. I will deduct $20 for any returns on this item, thank you for understanding!
