Description: HG TYPE THREADED FREEHUB 7 SPEED FOR SHIMANO Kit contains: One Freehub Body Weight 155 gram weight, hardened steel body. The cassette can't dig into the body shell since like aluminum bodies. The 7 speed is the maximum cassette recommended. It's best to match the 35 mm shell length as closely as possible. This size is often used for road vintage Shimano hubs. If you are in doubt please send a message with photos of your old hub so we can be sure it fits beforehand. Please note, the wheel to freehub hub interface is threaded and a 10mm Allen key is used. To check this please remove the axle by driving it out the non-drive side. This freehub has a cup and cone system. Disassembly tip: 1. remove the drive side cone nuts (with cone wrenches) from the axle, 2. Use a soft mallet to drive the axle out of the non-drive side (if it has a cartridge bearing) other wise it will be loose, 3. Use a 10mm Allen bit that can reach the freehub lock nut from the front of the freehub and un-thread it. 4. The freehub can now be removed and replaced in the reverse order. Re-use the loose balls from the old freehub body. Free shipping in the USA! We ship daily! Check out our other items, including our HubDoctor® Mavic® Freehubs Rebuild Kits.
