The Higo Mamoru is a domestically produced knife without a locking mechanism, manufactured and sold by Nagao Koma Seisakusho, founded in 1894. Although it is called "Higo," it is not produced in Kumamoto Prefecture (Higo Province), but in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture.
