Pond opened a retail store in or near East Berkshire, VT in 1880 and was very active in the community. In 1881, he built a horse barn next to the store for his patrons. In the same year, there was an “ice cream festival” hosted in the hall above the store. In Oct. of 1884, the hall “was being put in reddinest as a roller rink” He was also involved in farming - producing maple sugar on his farm at "Pond Hill". In 1886, he shipped 1,500 pounds of it to California. Showing only minor signs of wear and handling consistent with its age. Expected fold creases from posting. No tears or any other major issues. Eye-catching header typeface / font. Will display well in your collection. Overall, in good to very good condition. You will receive the exact sheet shown in the photos.
