Description: Antique English Silver Jam Spoon Circa 1884/1885.made in Birmingham England hall marked with the maker H&T believed to be Hilliard and Thompson. John Hilliard (1816-1871) established his business in 1837, 3 years later 1840 he was joined by John Thomason(1811- 92 and the firm began to trade as Hilliard and Thomason. The firm was know for making snuff boxes, vinegrettes, wine labels and tablewares. The spoon is decorated on the handle with roses weighs approx 28.86 grams, 6inches long, 1 1/2 inches at its widest point. This piece is not monogrammed. .The condition is good except for a small dent at the base of the stem leading to the bowl and typical surface wear that you would expect after 130years of good service.
