Description: Vintage empty wooden tool box which at one time contained Approved Automotive Equipment tools made by Hinckley - Myers of Jackson Michigan. Lid is somewhat offset, but that appears to be the way it was made. Hinges and latch work fine. Box measures about 13" x 8" x 3 1/4" and weighs over 2 pounds. Condition: Wear consistent with age (see photos), hinges and latch work fine. No tools. Box is empty. I am not a tool expert, but here is what I found on Hinkley Myers: The Hinckley-Myers Company operated in Chicago, Illinois as maker of automobile specialty equipment and tools. Their products included items such as cylinder reboring machines, and their customers were probably automobile dealers and repair shops. Currently we don't have much information on the company, but have found a few references in trade publications from the 1920s and 1930s. Some later references to the company give a location in Jackson, Michigan, suggesting that the company may have moved, or possibly opened a branch office. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
