Material: Made from "Yoshino" Hinoki wood from Yoshino, Nara, Japan.One-piece solid timber, not jointed board.The boards undergo natural drying until their water content drops below 20%, with the target range being 15 to 18%. Wood with lower moisture content helps prevent warping, cracking, and bacterial growth. Hinoki has a distinctive aroma, and the scent of Hinoki is favored by many people, used in products such as Hinoki baths and Hinoki sake vessels.
