Description: Dubuque is the county seat of Dubuque County, Iowa, located along the Mississippi River with a population of 59,667 at the 2020 census. The city lies at the junction of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, a region known as the “Tri-State Area”. It is a tourist destination featuring the city’s unique architecture and river location. Dubuque has long been a center of manufacturing; the local economy has also diversified to other areas in the 21st century. The Eagle Point Bridge was a very narrow two-lane automobile toll bridge that connected urban Dubuque, Iowa, and rural Grant County, Wisconsin. It was part of the US 61/US 151 route. After the new Dubuque-Wisconsin Bridge was built in 1983, the Eagle Point bridge was torn down. At the end, the toll was ten cents, both ways, collected on the Iowa side. The Bridge, however, is still on this card published by E.C Kropp”. It is not dated but is a UDB (1898-1907) and is in good condition except for album corners but minor wear. The image of “Eagle Point Bridge, Dubuque, IA” is clean and clear as is the reverse.
