Description: This listing is for a History of the Michigan Organizations at Chickamauga, Chattanooga and Missionary Ridge 1863. This is the 1899 second edition authorized by the legislature and published by Robert Smith Printing of Lansing Michigan. A fabulous record of aspects of the American Civil War. The book is in great shape with clean pages and tight binding. There is no dust jacket but green boards have minimal wear for the age. There is written inside "with the compliments of Captain C.E. Belknap" who served in the Civil War and then went on to be a Michigan state representative. Belknap Hill, Lookout and park in Grand Rapids are named after him.
