This model does not have sound, DCC, or a DCC decoder plug. If you plan to operate this locomotive on DC, you should be well pleased with the purchase. However, if you plan to convert it to DCC, I do not recommend purchasing it, as A-Line weights are glued inside the shell and leave very little space for a DCC decoder and no space at all for a speaker.
