Description: HO Scale AHM GP18 Green Bay Route #309 Diesel Locomotive - Tested Recently, I acquired a small collection of locomotives, tracks and parts from another collector. As I sifted through the collection for the pieces I wanted for my collection: Steam Locomotives, I found that he included a number of various diesel locomotives in various states of condition. Due to my lack of knowledge regarding diesel locomotives, I decided to inspect them and sell them to those whose interest are more centered on the more modern diesel-style locomotives. What are you getting?... I don't claim to be an expert on these locomotives, so much of my information has been found online, either from other train sites, or through searches of similar eBay offerings. You're bidding on a HO Scale AHM GP18 Green Bay Route #309 Diesel Locomotive which I have tested to see if it works. Upon inspection, I found this locomotive does respond when powered up. It responds both forward and reverse. When I received it, the front railings on either side of the engineering cabin were damaged and need to be replaced. The railings on either side running to the back of the locomotive are intact. While it was running, the lights on the rear were on, but I did not see lights on in the front. Not sure if this means a loose connection or a burnt-out bulb that needs to be replaced. There are traction rings on the axles, although they appear to be worn and may need to be replaced. Due to my lack of knowledge and not wanting to damage the shell, I didn't take it apart to check inside. It may be a simple matter of lubricant or cleaning and replacing a bulb. Not sure. Overall, it is a nice piece to add to any collection and I'm sure that any railroad collector who knows their stuff should be able to inspect it and determine what it needs to make it track ready again.
