The Hellcat proved to be the most successful aircraft in naval history, destroying 5,271 aircraft while in service with the U. S. Navy and U. S. Marine Corps. The kit consists of 111 parts in light gray plastic, 6 clear parts for canopy, optional position flaps, engine detail, and markings for 'Minsi III' as flown by CAG David McCampbell, USS Essex, October 1944.
