The name Home Spun refers to the tweed fabric’s hand-spun and hand-woven feel. Starting with the dyeing of the yarn, the textile is made entirely in a small factory in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture.Glittering lamé yarn, silk threads, washi paper, and other threads of varying strength and materials are all woven together in a meticulous process about 1/3 the normal weaving speed. This slow speed allows the material to retain air and keep a soft, pleasant fluff. The handle includes a broad ribbon, and the interior is a warm red.The Drawer Pouch Áne (AH-nay, “older sister” in Japanese) is the size of a wallet and opens accordian-style.
