Homemade “Batman Returns” Chest Armor Cosplay (Keaton)

Description: This is a homemade piece of armor I made for a Batman Returns cosplay I did about eight months back (mid to late 2023). The photos that show the armor with white paint are the photos of the armor in its current condition (I added pieces to the chest and sides to try to perfect the look, I only never finished painting/waterproofing). The photos that showcase the full suit along with the armor fully painted are pictures of the armor before I added on the extra plating. THIS ONLY INCLUDES THE TORSO ARMOR. THE COWL, CAPE, GLOVES ETC ARE NOT INCLUDED. I am selling this because when adding the plating I forgot to fully water proof everything before cleaning it (a dumb mistake on my part). I had very little time (and money) at this point to add more coats of “DAP’s Kwikseal”. Which is what I used to give a rigid rubber effect as well as waterproof it. I eventually broke down and just bought a version somebody else had made and no longer have use for this one. It’s been a fun time making it though, and if you have any questions about the process I went through to make it you can contact me, I can give you tips on making your own if you’d prefer that over buying this one (however I do think buying would be easier as it take months and hundreds of dollars to perfect something like this). The armor can be fixed by adding more of the previously mentioned DAP Kwikseal. Lots of power sanding is required to make it smooth though. After that you spray it with black Plasti-Dip, add as many coats of that as you feel you need and you’re ready to go. Just slap the Bat Emblem on and you’ve become the night.
