Aetna, Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, was organized in October and incorporated in February 1922. The building depicted here was built in two phases. The four bay engine house and meeting room was built in 1985. The social quarters and banquet hall were built in 1993. The original building, a two story factory, was purchased shortly after the company was organized. It was remodeled into an engine house and social club. Later a cement block engine house was built. The cement Block engine house was incorporated into the banquet hall of the new building.
