Hostile's designers use black or satin black paint as a counterpoint to the machined aluminum accents and stainless steel trim. A blade-cut surface gives a wide, shiny lip that reflects the machined spokes back at you, whether the wheel is finished in ebony powdercoat or glistening chrome. Note on some styles the lip actually protrudes a good 1/2" past the bead of the tire, giving you even more lip surface to catch the eye. Those brushed stainless steel patches you see on the Knuckle wheel are real sheet metal bolted on with stainless hardware, not a plastic applique held on with tape.
