Description: Hard to find and highly sought after Freshman Masterpiece Model 675 AM/SW tombstone radio. The finish on the radio has simply been stripped of its original shellac and polished with a professional wood wax. The contrast in the birds eye maple and cherry wood on the face is stunning. The radio also has a unique trapezoidal shape, with the top slightly more narrow than the base. The grill cloth is a period replacement and showing some wear, but it is intact. The radio was partially restored electronically, as evidenced by the new caps, but it is still not functioning, only hums and receives static. I am sure that a few more capacitors need to be replaced. All of the tubes tested good on my Eico Model 625 tube tester and the power cord is in very good condition. All of the knobs, which are original, turn smoothly and properly, as does the dial indicator. The front metal emblem is missing.
