Description: Gorgeous Large Solid Sterling Silver Pedestal Center Console bowl. This beautiful bowl is decorated on the outer rim and pedestal foot with an ornate open work of wonderful winged Cherubs and Lion heads. The bowl measures 15" in diameter and stands a little over 5 1/2" in height on a 6" diameter pedestal foot. The bowl is clearly marked with the Durham Silver Co. trademark of New York and Sterling pattern number 66. There is a presentation monogram on the underside To commodore Harry Loory 1955 from G.S.Y.C. Yacht Co. Sorry my photos do not do this justice. The bowl is in very good estate condition with no dings or dents. It weighs a very substantial 1734 grams or 55.7 troy ounces, 3 pounds 13 ounce. A truly gorgeous work of silver art to be enjoyed.
