This map opens to a generous 26½" x 41" and has great detail on old highway alignments, including U.S. Route 66. It is drawn on a scale of 1:5,000,000 and has an attractive, decorative border and shows cities, towns, national parks, monuments, and natural features, with topography drawn in relief. There are insets in the two lower corners, each topped by a decorative title cartouche. The inset map at the lower left is titled United Nations Area. It depicts part of Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield County, Connecticut, centered on Greenwich, with the printed note that the permanent headquarters of the United Nations would be located "within the area of this map." But it was not built there. Instead, the UN headquarters was built on the east side of Manhattan. The inset at the lower right is titled East of Maine, and it shows Canada's maritime provinces New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and part of Quebec. Condition: The map folds into the magazine and is in very good condition, bright and clean, with no marks, rips, or tears. The magazine itself is also in great shape, tight and clean, sound and complete, with strong corners and a solid spine. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
