Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978). Nikolai Semenovich Babin was born in the village of Peschanokonskoye, Rostov Region. Studied at the Krasnodar Art School (1948-1951), then studied at the Moscow Regional Art and Pedagogical School in memory of 1905 under L. Shitov (1955-1958). From the late 1950s to the 1980s, he constantly worked in the field of posters, collaborated with the publishing houses "Fine Art" and "Plakat", with the creative workshop of visual agitation of the USSR art fund ("Agitplakat"). Nikolai Babin worked in the field of political and social posters, the main works: "Let's go with us!" (1972), “V. I. Lenin - the creator of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ”(1972),“ To the Great October - our labor successes ”(1975),“ We will meet the 25th Congress of the CPSU with new labor successes ”(1975),“ The Party is the mind, honor and conscience of our era!
