It probably has 23 channels (per Hy-Gain 9 (2679), Mobile Transceiver | RigReference.com). Simple, one-handed operation freed the driver to communicate with other CBers. All of the functions: microphone, volume, squelch, and channel controls, are located on the handset. It was stored in the house in a box for at least 35 years. I have not tested it after storage but it worked great before. AS IS
